Terms and Conditions — Vendors

  1. Description of LotsIt is the vendor's responsibility to give a correct and accurate description of each lot on the sales entry form. Unless otherwise stated, items will be sold on a no-reserve basis. If you require a minimum sale amount, you must enter a reserve price (subject to fees). Please remember that this is a trade and public auction, and retail prices should not be expected.
  2. Legal TitleVendors completing and signing the entry form must satisfy themselves that they have full legal title to the goods offered for sale. If the goods are not solely and legally owned by the vendor, they must not be entered for sale.
  3. Payment for Lots EnteredAll payments for lots sold are made by BACS on the Friday following the sale. Please ensure we hold your correct bank details on the registration form.
  4. Vehicle EntryA V5C logbook, key(s), and the MOT certificate must accompany any vehicle when it is entered for sale; without these, the vehicle will be refused. A vehicle history check will be obtained and will form part of the sale. Fees apply — please ask for details.
  5. InsuranceIt is the vendor's sole responsibility to insure items against loss, damage, or theft until the fall of the hammer, at which point responsibility passes to the buyer. Items that remain unsold for any reason must continue to be insured by the vendor. Southend Auctions accepts no liability for any items.
  6. Removal of Unsold LotsAny unsold items must be removed from the sale site on the Saturday afternoon after the sale. Items may be re-entered once for the following sale; if they remain unsold a second time, they must be removed. Uncollected lots will be disposed of to recover any outstanding fees and storage charges.
  7. Excluded ItemsCertain items are not accepted for sale — for example, chipboard furniture, tyres, and asbestos. Please ask for full details before entering goods.

Terms and Conditions — Buyers

  1. CollectionItems may only be removed once they have been paid for in full at the time of purchase. Items must be removed at the end of the sale; items left on site will incur storage charges.
  2. PaymentPayment can be made by debit or credit card only. We do not accept cash.
  3. Title of GoodsUpon a successful bid, title passes to the buyer on the fall of the hammer. From this point, Southend Auctions accepts no responsibility for the goods in respect of loss, theft, or damage. All items are sold as seen, with no return or warranty given or implied. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please do not bid.
